Engineers can't do without semiconductor rectifiers, changers, disconnectors and amplifiers. The usage of semiconductors instead of tube systems allows to reduce the sizes and masses of electronic devices. The analogue devices are not equal if we talk about their reliability and power. Tube drops behind.
We can't imagine how the humanity can do without lots of devices that are based on usage of semiconductors.
